Vox Terrae is a new generation duo bringing together the genres of classical and folk music by reconnecting to the earth's musical roots. The duo is composed by Viola Innocenti (Viola) and Ettore Cauvin (Clarinet), Italian musicians based in The Netherlands where they met during their masters degree at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam (2022-2024). Since then, they have collaborated extensively in various chamber music settings, honing a distinctive artistic voice that resonates internationally.
Actively researching classical and folk music, the ensemble encourages intercultural encounters between music, cultural heritage and the natural world through the power of storytelling. Their diverse repertoire spans a wide range of styles, including classical, modernist, and folk-inspired works by composers such as Béla Bartók, Rebecca Clarke, Béla Kovács, Astor Piazzolla, and Francis Poulenc, alongside traditional melodies from global regions including the Balkans, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, Occitania and South America.
Following months of creation and fieldwork, Vox Terrae is now embarking on its debut concert tour across Europe, inviting audiences into a musical journey that celebrates tradition, innovation, and human connection. The duo is available for chamber music and educational performances in concert halls, festivals, cultural events, and intimate acoustic venues.
